Social Behavior Change (SBC) is proven to be an effective element in successful WASH and WRM programs. In WASH sector, facility availability should be supported with behavior practices and the sustainable use pf the facility.
In addition, hygiene practices and natural resource management that make positive contributions to water resources should also be sustainable. As such, the water resource quantity and quality are protected.
Thus, USAID IUWASH Tangguh develops activities to raise awareness on WASH and WRM through the collaboration with communities and media and social media advocacies., USAID IUWASH Tangguh integrates gender equality and social inclusion principles into its activities so that it can raise public awareness on the importance of gender mainstreaming and inclusivity in WASH and WRM programs. These activities are performed under the coordination of Objective 4.
Awareness raising on gender equality and social inclusion and their mainstreaming in the program implementation is expected to promote women leadership at community and institution levels and to contribute to the WASH and WRM improvements, especially in reaching the marginalized communities.
