Through Marketing Strategy, PD PAL Jaya Will Deliver Desludging Service to 800 Thousand Customers

President Director of PD PAL Jaya, Subekti, received the marketing strategy for scheduled desludging service (LLTT) from USAID IUWASH PLUS on the LLTT handover workshop held in Hotel Millennium Jakarta on July 10, 2019.

The marketing strategy was developed jointly between USAID IUWASH PLUS and Mark Plus Inc. to help PD PAL Jaya maximize the LLTT promotion to a wider community.

Present in the event were the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for Spatial Planning and Environment, Oswar Mungkasa, Director of Environmental Sanitation Development of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Dodi Krispratmadi, Ministry of PUPR, and representatives from USAID IUWASH PLUS and Mark Plus Inc.

According to a study conducted by Mark Plus Inc. to 159 community members, about 60% of them have use the desludging services when their septic tank is full, and about 33% of them never uses the services since their septic tank is not clogged.

“Hopefully with these new marketing methods, we can gain more customers and expand our sanitation network,” said Director of Environmental Sanitation Development of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Dodi Krispratmadi.

With this marketing strategy, PD PAL Jaya is targeting to gain customers of their LLTT program up to 800 thousand customers in 2022.

To reach this target, PD PAL Jaya will collaborate with private desludging operators, cooperate with PDAM (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum/Municipal Drinking Water Company) in hopes of increasing the rates of market penetration, optimize social media promotion, conduct community marketing, and use influencers to communicate PD PAL Jaya’s branding and their services.
