The presentation on the overview of the WSP concept in Indonesia was delivered by Arief Sudrajat from ITB on the second day of the workshop, followed by a series of discussions on WSP. During the discussion session, the participants also prepared a list of learning areas related to WSP that will be discussed with the relevant Philippine representatives during the visit. The participants also developed an action plan from December 2017 to May 2018 that will be implemented after the study visit.

“I hope from this debriefing we can identify what needs to be prepared for water safety plan (WSP) and then we can follow it up. After this, I hope more cooperation and communication between stakeholders will be established,” stated Trigeany Linggoatmodjo from USAID. Tirta Sutedjo from Bappenas also stated that the upcoming study visit is expected to provide input related to water safety plan issues for the RPJMN 2019 – 2024.
