Good financial management skill is one of keys for a business to succeed, including those in the sanitation sector.
Therefore, USAID IUWASH PLUS conducted a meeting on the management and financial for the sanitation entrepreneurs on June 3-5, 2020.
This online training involved 15 sanitation entrepreneurs from Ternate, Jayapura, Makassar, Probolinggo, Malang cities, and Barru, Jayapura, Probolinggo, and Gresik districts.
The objectives were to increase the participants’ understanding and skills on financial and administrative management and to teach them on how to develop a simple business plan.
This training was held to strengthen the sanitation market by building the capacity of the sanitation entrepreneurs, so that they could manage and survive their business during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the assignment, the participants were requested to develop their business plan and committed to implementing it.
The participants were enthused over attending in the training, among others is Heronimus—a sanitation entrepreneur from Jayapura city.
“The training materials were delivered using a method which is easy to understand,” he said.
Similarly, Anto—a sanitation entrepreneur from Probolinggo city shared that he gained a lot of knowledge, especially on financial management, which is a relatively new topic for him.
