Welcome to USAID IUWASH PLUS’ 12th edition E-Newsletter, June 2020.
USAID IUWASH PLUS wishes you Eid Al-Fitr 144 H.
The Eid Al-Fitr this year is different as we had to celebrate it amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the festive should give us a moment to become a better person to ourselves and others, including our environment.
It is the time for us to practice clean and healthy behavior better as well as to pay attention to water supply and sanitation access, including where our domestic wastewater goes to. Moreover, Indonesia is now entering the New Normal to adapt with the COVID-19.
To highlight the message on self-protection against the COVID-19, we start e-newsletter of this edition with a story compilation on hand washing with soap as one of effective measures to prevent infections from Wonosobo district, Bogor, Bekasi, Magelang, Surakarta, Ternate, and Jayapura cities.
In addition, we also present you other appealing stories from Tebing Tinggi, Bogor, Magelang, and Jayapura cities as well as from Probolinggo district.
Those stories tell us about the initiatives of community members as well as local and national governments to ensure more people, especially the low income families, receive sustainable water services and have access to the safely managed sanitation.
